Lance McDonald is a member of Montreal Lake Cree Nation. Lance is a current board member for MLCFA. Lance began his service as a board member in 2014 and was involved in building camp hope. Lance has been a foster parent for 20 years and it was important for him to be a board member to give a voice to the foster parents and children in care. This continues to be his driving purpose. Lance enjoys fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Lionel Bird
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Lionel Bird is the executive director of Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency. Lionel has been the executive director for 6 years. Lionel grew up away from the community and returned in 1984 and got right to work. Lionel has been involved in many monumental projects in the community and continues contributing to the community in many different areas and projects lending his knowledge, insight, and vision. Lionel works tirelessly to meet the needs of community members and always has a project on the go be it at work or in his personal life. It is not unusual to get a text message from Lionel on an evening or weekend with a new project, idea, and/or information.

Jai Budhanlall
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Jai is the Executive Assistant for MLCFA and is going on 5 years with the agency. Jai’s commitment to the children, families and communities is evident in everything she does. Everyone who knows Jai, knows she is the one who will make things happen and gets things done. Jai works closely with Montreal Lake Cree Nation, MLCFA and other First Nations communities on ensuring food security and various other projects. Where ever there is a need she works diligently to meet it. Jai recently updated her project management certification along with her business administration degree to support the many capital projects on the go.

Amanda Naytowhow
FINANCE MAINTENANCE
Amanda Naytowhow is a member of the Montreal Lake Creen Nation. Amanda is the longest employee of Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency and started with the agency in July 2001. Amanda took a short break in service from Jan 2010 to December 2010. Amanda is the finance maintenance clerk for the child protection program, and is our resident expert. We would certainly be lost without her. Amanda enjoys spending quality time with family doing outdoor activities such as hunting, atving and snowmobiling Amanda is our residence Scentys dispenser and keeps the whole office smelling nice.

Brenda Masuskapoe
FINANCE OFFICER
Brenda is a member of Little Red Reserve. Brenda has worked with Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency since 2007 and plans to retire with the agency. Brenda is our Finance Officer; however, she has worked in various positions at the agency including HR, finance and child care. She has enjoyed each of her roles, but has always been pulled back to administration work. Brenda enjoys beading and is always working on a custom order.

Pearl passionately advocates for the families she serves, consistently offering support to both families and the youth in the community. As a leader in women's wellness, she dedicates herself to these families beyond her official working hours. Pearl's selflessness and reliability make her an invaluable collaborator for everyone she works with. Her dedication is a tremendous asset to MLCFA, and we express our gratitude for the daily hard work and effort she contributes to the agency.

Elann Impey
FAMILY FINDERS
Elann joined Montreal lake child and family agency team in 2023 bringing her years of experience and knowledge with her. As a Metis persons living in the Prince Albert area, she has been immersed in the first nation's culture from birth volunteering alongside her family in various areas of need within the city. These experiences inspired her to attend the First Nations University of Canada where she received her Degree in Indigenous Social Work in 2017. After receiving her degree Elann began working in youth group homes within the city where she grew her skills in practical and hands on settings over the course of 8 years. Her passion for her community, the people in it and her culture lend well to her journey with (insert business name and/or job title here) where she hopes to continue making a difference in the lives of Northern communities and their youth.

Martha is a member of the Montreal Lake Cree Nation has worked for Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency for 13 years. Martha is our resident file clerk and makes sure we all stay organized and if there is a vehicle key missing, she will hunt it down. Martha enjoys sewing and keeping her heart and her mind busy with things like colouring, crafts, and baking. Martha has done Molonosa in the Western Kitchen for 5 years and Christmas Hampers for the community for 10 and this is the first year she isn’t doing them and it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas for her.

Roland Nipshank
MAINTENANCE
Roland is a member of Montreal Lake Creen Nation and Little Red Reserve. Roland grew up in Little Red, and would frequently come to Montreal Lake to visit. Roland has always remained connected to both communities. Roland is the maintenance worker for MLCFA and has been with the agency for 9 years. When asked what keeps Roland in his job, without hesitation, Roland, spoke of the relationships he has developed with coworkers and people in the community. In his spare time Roland spends his time checking on the elders and making sure they have everything they need.

Salah Sherwan
MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST
Salah has been with Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency since Aug 18th 2018. Salah began his career with MLCFA as the mental health therapist for Camp Hope and shifted gears in to work primarily with Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency clients. Prior to coming to work with Montreal Lake, Salah worked in Sturgeon Lake as a school everything - counsellor, therapist, social worker, vice principal - you name it. Salah takes great care in building relationships with the people he works with and these relationships allow him to do the good work that he does. Salah is incredibly active in the community and is always willing to meet the clients where they are at.

RECEPTIONIST
Koona Prosper is a member of Montreal Lake Cree Nation. Koona has been a dedicated employee of Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency since 2010. Koona has had some breaks in service and will always come back. Koona recently returned to MLCFA in September 2022 as the front receptionist and ensures that anyone who contacts the agency or comes in, is served in a kind and caring manner. Koona is very invested in music and enjoy spending time with her 2 kids, her hubby and her dog.

Joe Nelson is a member of Montreal Lake Creen Nation. Joe recently began work with Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency in September 2023 as the land-based coordinator supporting camp hope and MLCFA. Joe came to MLCFA from education and taught in Montreal Lake for 10 years. Joe enjoys hunting, trapping and fishing. If you can’t find Joe at home or in the bush, he is in Vegas.
